40 Days of FaithSample
Today’s Reading: 1 Samuel 17:41–51
Faith Confession
I do not wage war according to the flesh. For the weapons of my warfare have divine power to destroy strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). You are my rock and you train my hands for war (Psalm 144:1). You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand supports me (Psalm 18:35). I stand firm and I will see the salvation of the Lord (2 Chronicles 20:17), for the battle is the Lord’s. Not by might nor by power, but by the Holy Spirit (Zechariah 4:6). You are my fortress and my deliverer—in you I take refuge. You are my shield and my stronghold. I call upon you and I am saved from my enemies (Psalm 18:1–2).
