There's Hope For Today

DAY 64 OF 366

Some wolves employ superb tailors. Others are graduates of “The White Sheep Acting Academy.” Still others possess blinding charm; but wolves are wolves and if you ever forget it … you’re dead. As one who has escaped a few “wolf” attacks, let me offer some help in spotting the wily critters. Wolves are cold, heartless predators.

Give a wide berth to anyone who shows a cruel streak – even if he’s funny. A lack of mercy reveals a wolfish heart. Wolves are insatiable. Watch out for people who are always chewing on others – give them half a chance and they’ll be chewing on you. Wolves are sneaky. Stay away from “cool” people who rely on subterfuge. Shifty saints always turn out to be trouble. Wolves work to isolate their prey before they attack. I think it stems from a basic lack of courage.

Stay in good fellowship with strong people. Wolves like to drive their prey to exhaustion. Watch out for people who draw your attention to a multiplicity of small matters. Wolves are notorious liars. Stay away from people who don’t tell the truth. Wolves are best left on the open range. Don’t open your heart and home to even the most well-mannered wolf, and above all else ... stay close to the Shepherd.
