There's Hope For Today

DAY 239 OF 366

God has never needed golden boys, A-Teams, blue ribbon panels, marketing firms, or Ivy League educations.

This is not to say that God does not use our talents or education. God uses our strengths and weaknesses according to His sovereign will, but He doesn’t need them. God has always done more with less than men thought adequate. Remember how He downsized Gideon’s great army until only three hundred remained? What about feeding thousands with a little boy’s lunch? Who can forget His strategy for reducing the fortress of Jericho? When the wine ran out at Cana, Jesus only required six pots of water. Everybody knows you need more than water to make wine, right? Wrong! Jesus didn’t choose His disciples from the top of the class.

At best, he chose ‘C’ students. I am not commending mediocrity, by any means. I am only pointing out that what He can do is always the prime consideration, not what we can do. Every sunrise opens all doors and windows to the unlimited potential of Christ in us.

Live with the preoccupation of His ability rather than your inadequacy. God always does more with less than man thinks adequate.
