There's Hope For Today

DAY 224 OF 366

OREKHOVO-ZUYEVO, RUSSIA: Andrey’s mother manages a meeting hall on the outskirts of Moscow. She has opened the doors for all kinds of groups and meetings, often listening but not hearing the business being conducted or the officer being elected.

You see, Andrey’s mother was often thinking about what to do with Andrey. At 28 he had been through several programs to cure his drug addiction – without success.

Andrey’s mother unlocked the doors for a visiting group of Americans. She watched and listened with increasing interest as young people shared their testimonies of deliverance from drug addiction. At the close of the crusade Andrey’s mother asked for prayer for her son and for a copy of the Book of Hope to take to him. Team members and local pastors surrounded her with prayer and sent her home with a book for Andrey. Andrey’s mother insisted that he come to the crusade. He came to the Lord on the closing night and was delivered from a five-year drug habit.

Andrey’s mother heard the story, asked for help, delivered the Book of Hope, and witnessed the miracle of a changed life. Is it any wonder that in a matter of days, Andrey’s mother was saved?
