There's Hope For TodaySample
The king’s ambassador carries the king’s authority so long as he speaks the king’s will.
As an ambassador, I cannot tell the rulers of the country where I am stationed what to do. I don’t have that authority. As an ambassador, I cannot make demands or manipulate political advantages lest I bring shame to my king. I must confine myself to proactive, purpose-driven activities that reflect the will and heart of my king.
When we speak outside of the authority of God’s Word, our words are no more than dust in the wind. When we speak the Word of Jesus, we speak with authority. When we give ourselves to the fulfilling of the great commission, we move with authority. When we shape our lives only after His will, we have all authority to complete His agenda and return home with honors.
Let’s move away from opinions, philosophies, and experiences as a basis for action in spiritual matters. Rather, let us seize upon the King’s will, understand the King’s Word, and make our presentation a mirror image of Jesus’ life. If we will do so, we will never lack divine authority nor power.
We are Christ’s ambassadors. We have His authority.
We must make His Word our perimeter.
