2 SamuelSample
Questions to consider:
1. What does this passage teach you about God?
2. What does this teach you about humanity and the world?
3. Second Samuel has been filled with people jockeying for power, and in this chapter, we see another one, Sheba. Why do you think we are so inclined to pursue our own position and power?
4. It is interesting that there is very little mention of God in this chapter. Several of the people are fighting for their own will, even though they know David is God’s anointed. In what areas of your life is it easy to ignore God? Why do you think that is?
Let’s pray:
Father, it is so easy to run after power and position and ignore you. Please help me to see where I am doing that in my life. Thank you that your ways are so much better than mine.
