Great Adventurers (Week 3)Sample

Great Adventurers (Week 3)

DAY 3 OF 7

Day Three - Set Apart

Welcome to our Great Adventurers Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey and look at some of the Great Adventurers in the Bible.

Let's continue our journey with our three Great Adventurers and see what happened when they said NO to King Nebuchadnezzar's bad rule!

READ:

'The Fiery Furnace' in the Beginners Bible (Pages 247-251) or in Daniel 3.

When Rack, Shack, and Benny refused to bow down to the statue, the King was very angry; he wanted the three Great Adventurers to do what he told them to!

He ordered that the three Great Adventurers should be thrown into the fire. He said, 'make the furnace extra hot!

Rack, Shack, and Benny were tied up and thrown into the fire! God was glad that they had been bold and worshipped Him alone. So, God jumped into the fire with them and kept Rack, Shack, and Benny safe. They did not get hurt. When they came out of the fire, they didn't even smell of smoke.

The three Great Adventurers and everyone else could see that…. 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'

ASK:

Can you think of a time when you knew that God was looking after you?

Chat to your grownup about this. Spend some time together, thanking God for how He looks after you?

REMEMBER:

'Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!"' (Matthew 19:26)

SAY:

I'm an adventurer,

I am bold, I am strong with the word of the Lord,

I will follow wherever you lead.

I won't stop, I've been set free.

In Jesus name, Amen!

Day 2Day 4

About this Plan

Great Adventurers (Week 3)

In the Bible, we see that through ‘Great Adventurers’ God has changed the world around them for good. God can take the seemingly bad things and turn them for good. We will follow in the footsteps of these ‘Great Adventurers’ and see how God, through their boldness, changed the world around them! This week we’re looking at the story of Meshach, Shadrach, and Abednego.
