Ain't No Devil Gonna Tread on MeSample
A common theme seen throughout history is the idea of “good” and “evil.” Hidden within this theme is the innate understanding that “good” always wins. As believers, we know that because of the cross “evil” has been eternally overcome by the power of love. What an unexplainable, indescribable miracle! However, I believe the greater miracle is not that we are made conquerors in Christ, but rather that if we profess Jesus as our Lord and Savior, our names will be written in the book of life. It’s one thing to experience victory in the battle, but it is entirely another to have eternal purpose. This is extremely comforting to me because even on the days that I feel like I am “winning the war,” I often forget the bigger picture - that God loves me enough not only to cause me to succeed in my struggles (or at least comfort me in the pain), but also to offer eternal life and joy with him! This is bigger than just “stomping on the head of the devil.” This is about the journey back to a loving Father.
