Right Decisions and Applications Sample
Remain Godly and Good
The three decisions we have the opportunity to make are:
1. Going to the right places, not the wrong places.
2. Making good trades in our life, not bad trades.
3. Preparing for more of God’s work in our life, not interrupting His work.
As we read the story of the betrayal of Judas in the book of Matthew, we see that Judas kissed Jesus so that the men could identify and arrest Him. After the kiss, Jesus calls him friend and asks him why he came. The men grab Jesus, and His disciple Peter reaches out; with his sword, Peter cuts off one of the high priest’s servant’s ears.
Jesus tells Peter, “Put your sword back in its place, because all who take up a sword will perish by a sword.” As followers of Christ, we should always respond in a godly way. We should also remain godly in both good and bad situations. Judas made a bad decision to betray Jesus, but Jesus remained godly in the good and bad. He not only called Judas His friend but told him to do what he had to do.
There are many good people in this world. Some can do a lot of bad things and harm others. I am very sorry for anyone that has hurt or betrayed you. But I also want to encourage you to go to God with those hurts. Allow Jesus to work through you and keep responding with godliness and goodness. Trust God even in a really bad situation.
There are good situations that make us want to stick out our chest and go, “Look what I did!” I encourage you to keep trusting God that He is the one doing good in your life. He gives us the wisdom, grace, and strength to accomplish everything we dream of doing. To God be the glory.
