Psalms in 30 Days

DAY 20 OF 30

Morning Prayer:

Call to Prayer (read Acts 1:8)

Confession of Faith

I believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, the unseen yet active personal presence of God in the world, who unites believers to Christ, regenerating and making us new creatures with hearts oriented to the light and life of the kingdom of God and to peace and justice on earth. The Spirit indwells those whom he makes alive with Christ, through faith incorporates us into the body of Christ, and conforms us to the image of Christ so that we may glorify him as we grow in knowledge, wisdom, and love into mature sainthood, the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. The Spirit is the light of truth and fire of love who continues to sanctify the people of God, prompting us to repentance and faith, diversifying our gifts, directing our witness, and empowering our discipleship.

Adapted from the Reforming Catholic Confession

O God, You have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth, and sent Your blessed Son to preach peace to those who are far off and to those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after You and find You; bring the nations into Your fold; pour out Your Spirit upon all flesh; and hasten the coming of Your kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Prayer of the Church

O Lord, the Helper of the helpless, the Hope of those who are past hope, the Savior of the tempest-tossed, the Harbor of the voyagers, the Physician of the sick… You know each soul and our prayer, each home and its need. Become to each one of us what we most dearly require, receiving us all into your kingdom, making us children of light, and pour on us your peace and love, O Lord our God. Amen.

Basil the Great

Blessing

The Lord Almighty grant us a peaceful night and a perfect end. Amen.

About this Plan

Psalms in 30 Days

This plan relies on a pattern of prayer Trevin Wax developed in 2019. Here you will find all the Psalms arranged in three-times-a-day readings for thirty days. This will include a time in the morning, midday, and evening. Every prayer time begins with a call to prayer and includes the Gloria, the Lord’s Prayer, and closes with a biblical blessing.
