In the Beginning Was the Word

DAY 1 OF 6

In the close of the foregoing chapter we had an account of the first disciples whom Jesus called—Andrew and Peter, Philip and Nathanael. These were the first-fruits to God and to the Lamb, Rev. 14:4.

Now, in this chapter we have the account of the first miracle which Jesus wrought—turning water into wine—at Cana of Galilee (ver. 1-11), and his appearing at Capernaum, ver. 12.

The account of the first Passover Jesus kept at Jerusalem after he began his public ministry; his driving the buyers and sellers out of the temple (ver. 13-17); and the sign he gave to those who quarrelled with him (ver. 18-22).

Listen to John chapter two.

About this Plan

In the Beginning Was the Word

What sets apart the Gospel of John from the other three Gospels? While all have heart and passion, the Gospel of John bursts with the life-changing first-hand testimony of the author, the apostle John. This man saw the work of Jesus Christ, the Son of God right in front of his eyes, and it transformed his life. Start this plan and find out why.
