R.O.B. FearSample
What is fear?
It makes you scared!
Fear is good when it keeps you from doing something dangerous, like poking a rattlesnake or touching a hot stove. That kind of fear shows you what can hurt you and keeps you safe.
Fear is bad when it keeps you from doing good things, like standing up to a bully, praying out loud for a friend, or sharing Jesus’ love with someone who needs it. That kind of fear lies to you, and makes you think something bad will happen if you do the right thing.
So what can you do if you’re afraid of something that’s good? Pray to God, and fight with the one weapon fear is afraid of: God’s truth!
But what is God’s truth? Today’s Bible verses teach us that the Bible is God’s truth. Learn what the Bible says so you can fight the bad kind of fear and do what you need to do!
Talk it over: List some good fears and some bad fears. Talk about how God’s truth can help you fight off the bad fears.
About this Plan

Find out how you can R.O.B. fear of its power. For Parents: Your child will have a deeper understanding of each day’s reading and questions if you complete this plan with them.
