What do you love in this world? Perhaps it’s your family, your career, a cherished pet, or even your beloved coffee pot. Now imagine what you would be willing to sacrifice for the object of your affection. How far would you be willing to go to save and protect this love? John 3:16 is easily one of the most recognizable verses in the Bible. It speaks of God and the magnitude of His love for us, His people. It may be difficult to imagine someone loving you enough to make such a sacrifice, but God did so that you can live eternally with Him. He loves you that deeply. When you spend time with God, you'll begin to understand that you are the object of His love and willingness to sacrifice His one and only Son. It is both a surreal and humbling realization that He sees us as worthy of such a love.

How does this realization change the way you see yourself or, better yet, how you see God? Today, ask God to allow His love to change the way you see Him working in your life.
