The Heart of Worship

DAY 2 OF 3

Incredible Love

The most extravagant act of worship humanly possible is a surrendered heart. This gift captures the heart of the Lord because it reflects the extravagant expression Jesus demonstrated to us on the cross. No greater love than this than a man lay His life down for a friend! He gave all of Himself; He was fully surrendered and submitted to the Father’s will. When we posture ourselves in the place of surrender, we submerge ourselves into the likeness of Jesus.

A seemingly simple, but bold prayer, “make me more like Jesus.” Dare it be said, but if the worship we’re offering isn’t sacrificial, is it worship? Jesus is the epitome of selflessness, servant hood, and sacrifice. Joshua Fowler says, “There are two times to worship: when you feel like it, and when you don’t!” Oh, that our worship would not be tossed like the winds and waves when challenges come or victories are won. May our lives be a fragrant aroma of worship to the Father in every season!

After a long day at work, “I’m tired, but still You are worthy!” If the finances aren’t there yet, “I don’t feel like it, but I lift my hands to You again in surrender!” Like the widow who gave two mites, we may not have much, but we give all that we have because Jesus is worthy!

“Incredible love

Redeeming love

It is selfless

Manifested through the Son

Your love is victorious

Yours love is pursuing us

It is selfless

And revealed upon the cross”

About this Plan

The Heart of Worship

The most extravagant act of worship is a surrendered heart! When we posture ourselves in surrender, we submerge ourselves into the likeness of Jesus. Worship is a response to seeing Him. A seemingly simple, but bold prayer, “make me more like Jesus.” This devotional is an invitation to take a seat at the table God has prepared for us; an awakening to the song the Father sings over His children!
