The Heart of WorshipSample
Melody of Love
We love because He first loved us. Worship is an echoing response from the revelation of Jesus. Pure worship isn’t built on the foundation of a feeling, atmosphere, or the lyrics and melodies composed by man. Worship is a response to seeing Him. A worshiper is marked and formed by an encounter with the man Jesus, an encounter that brings death and life simultaneously. This revelation causes death to the carnal nature, death to sin, death to the lusts of the flesh, but produces absolute fullness and newness of life in union with Him.
It’s in beholding the beauty and holiness of the Lord that a response rings from the inner-man, “I love you! Apart from You, I am nothing!”
“For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” Zepheniah 3:17
This passage says, “He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” The melody of love is birthed in the hearts of those who have been awakened to the melody the Lord sings over them. The Hebrew word for ‘joyful songs’ is ’rinnah,’ which means “a ringing cry,” also it can mean: ‘a joyful shout, proclamation, rejoicing, triumph.’ The Lord is rejoicing over you with a ringing cry, a joyful proclamation, a triumphant song! In response to this ringing cry, our spirits are awakened to His love for us, and we become unraveled at the magnificence of this love.

About this Plan
The most extravagant act of worship is a surrendered heart! When we posture ourselves in surrender, we submerge ourselves into the likeness of Jesus. Worship is a response to seeing Him. A seemingly simple, but bold prayer, “make me more like Jesus.” This devotional is an invitation to take a seat at the table God has prepared for us; an awakening to the song the Father sings over His children!
