For me Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. Savior, because He saved me from eternal death through His death on the cross. Lord, because I learned that He serves me as a blessing when I follow His instructions. He really is my personal trainer, and unlike me without fault and full of love. 

In my profession I often have to lead the athletes to their physical and mental limits in order to improve their performance. Oftentimes this leads to tensions. To endure this and not show your negative emotions requires a lot of strength. I continue to receive this strength from my personal relationship with Jesus Christ. 

I am excited about the successes as a physical trainer whether it be at the ski world cup, the Olympic Games, or in ice hockey. But every success, as much as I enjoy them, are nothing compared to the assurance of being with God for eternity and to be able to be on a journey with Him.

Action Step

God also wants to encounter YOU. Invite the Holy Spirit to read the bible passage with you and expect that he will speak to you. Trust that God will show you the steps you should take in your own life. Ask Him for strength and courage to follow his voice.
