Persevere
Hebrews 10:36, 38
“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God you will receive what he has promised…My righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back I will not be pleased with him.”
It’s challenging to persevere in the will of God in a journey of faith. If it wasn’t challenging, we wouldn’t need faith. Without faith we can’t please God. Faith is strengthened through persevering in the will of God until we have done what God has asked us to do, and received what he has promised. However, God always gives us a choice. We can shrink back from the will of God through fear. We can miss what God is saying to us and follow other agendas and plans.
Will we persevere in faith or shrink back in fear?
Lord Jesus, thank you for your presence, your promises, your pleasure, as I seek to do your will today. May you be glorified.
