The Spirit of the Lord
Isaiah 11:2
“The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him – the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord – and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.”
The Spirit of God is resting upon and filling us today. His presence in our lives is manifested in wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge and the fear of the Lord. All we need is found in the Lord Jesus through His Spirit. It’s the humility and the fear of the Lord that God pours out His Spirit.
Why would we think that we are wiser, more understanding, a better counselor, stronger or more knowledgeable than the Lord God Almighty?
We need the Lord Jesus Christ and His Spirit or we will be unable to fulfill His mission in our generation.
Lord Jesus, you are my life! I humble myself before you. Fill me with your Spirit for your glory and your mission purposes.
