Kingdom Prayers Sample

Father, the more fully I know You, the more I see my shortcomings and failures. I see that even my most noble efforts are tainted by selfish motives. The more I recognize Your power, the more I acknowledge my weakness. The more I understand Your wisdom, the more I see my utter weakness and inability.  

Therefore, let me not waste another moment living in the flesh, but rather let me live in the Spirit. Fill me to overflowing. Consume me so that I may not only be focused on Your Kingdom, but to do so in the power of the Holy Spirit. Let me not think of myself or even be motivated by the enjoyment of service, but rather to delight merely in Your worthiness and Your presence.

Be my wisdom, strength, endurance, faith, hope, love, and every other thing I require to live a life that brings joy to Your heart. Apart from You I can do absolutely nothing. In You I have enough, even if all friends, material things, or manmade organizations fail me, or if creation itself is burning up around me. In fact, in the loss of worldly things, I more truly understand Your worthiness and sufficiency.

I do not have even the faintest imagination of what is needed to dwell and serve in the new heaven and new earth. I trust You to fit me for that marvelous privilege, whatever the cost in this world. Use me also to help in preparing as many others as possible for that purpose as well. May all Your people understand Your ways and purposes so that together we might cooperate with Your work in us.

Omnipresence

Lord, I cannot truly understand how Your presence is constantly in every place. You abide in all the universe, and Your superintendence is evident from the mysteries of subatomic intricacies to the coordination of billions of galaxies. Despite the universality of Your presence, You are intensely personal in Your concern for and involvement with all creation. I exalt You for this unfathomable infinitude. Show me how to float with utter abandon in the certitude of Your sovereign control and inestimable goodness. Let me be in total synchrony with Your workings and not resist or doubt You in any way. Let my responses be always of pure love and trust. Allow me to communicate Your greatness to others so that they might worship You more truly.
