Cultural Shift       

Everyone who spent time with Jesus began to dream of significance. And yet it was their understanding of greatness that was in error. Not the desire. Jesus pruned their understanding back to His perspective. The least is the greatest. The servant of all is the greatest. The child is the greatest. They got it. The who is great debate was finished, but there were more issues that were about to arise in their hearts because of their success. John, thinking he did something good, told Jesus how he dealt with those who were casting out demons in Jesus’ name but were not a part of the twelve.

John answered and said, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name; and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow along with us” (Luke 9:49). 

Jesus answered : Do not hinder him; for he who is not against you is for you.

Apply

In God's kingdom things work differently: the greatest in his kingdom is a child; the one, who is not against you, is for you. In what way does God want you to shift your belief system and your thinking of others?
