Read – Acts 22

Acts 22:14 - 16 "Then he said, ‘The God of our fathers has appointed you to know His will, to see the Righteous One, and to hear the sound of His voice. For you will be a witness for Him to all people of what you have seen and heard. And now, why delay? Get up and be baptized and wash away your sins by calling on His name.’" 

There was urgency about the way that Ananias told Paul to get baptized. I think he was emphasizing the need to be baptized as a symbol of the change in Paul's life, to repent from his sins and be washed clean of them. The one thing that is always true about God is that He uses anyone to do His work. For instance, Paul was trained in the law and persecuted Jesus and His followers to the point of approving of their death. Effectively he was a murderer but look at what God used him to do. He used him to write a majority of the New Testament and to bring countless people to the truth. So, what about you? If God can use anyone, that means you too! Don't ever let Satan get you down by believing that you are too far gone for Jesus. His grace is enough for you, just as it was for Paul. Lord, cover us with your grace and help us to understand that you can use us; all we need to do it choose you.
