Walking With Him Daily Acts Bible PlanSample
Day 14
Read – Acts 14
Acts 14:19 - 20 "Then some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium, and when they had won over the crowds and stoned Paul, they dragged him out of the city, thinking he was dead. After the disciples surrounded him, he got up and went into the town. The next day he left with Barnabas and Derbe."
Paul was called to suffer and to be a messenger for Christ in the early part of the book of Acts. In Acts 13, we see that Paul is stoned to the point that the Jews believe him to be dead. And what does Paul do when they leave him? He gets up and goes back into town! His determination to fulfill God's call on his life is an example to us in how we should strive to fulfill God's call on our lives. Do you know what God's call on your life is? If so, are you seeking to fulfill it in the way that God has laid out? Do small obstacles tend to get you off track? Lord, give us determination to lean on your strength and accomplish the calling that you have on our lives.
