21 Days To A Teenager’s Spiritual ChangeSample
On a Wave
We need to be aware that since we are only people, we are obsessively focused on ourselves. All people think about themselves. Sometimes you probably just want to say: “Pastor, you exaggerate, I'm nothing like this!” But aren't you? Maybe you will change your mind when you hear me. Let's say we are doing a group photo. Who is the first person you are going to look for in the photo? Is it you by any chance? Let's go further, if you look bad in the photo, what will you say? You will probably decide the photo looks lame and you won't want it published. Am I right?
Worshiping God is usually more important than it seems! Worship has power to change everything in you. Why? Because you focus on Him, not on yourself.
When we hear the word worship, we usually think of playing instruments and singing. However, I want us to think further than music. Worship isn't just the singing part of the service (although it surely is the most visible manifestation of giving praise to God). In my opinion, worship is any act, whether individual or collective, that leads us toward experiencing God's presence. Praising God in any form is an expression of love and an attitude of the heart, declaring who He is for us and sharing what Christ did for us. It is the result of creation, a result of being born again, a lifestyle, and getting closer to God. Worship is an act where God is blessed and where we show God due respect.
Be the one that makes the decision to worship the Lord, regardless of your mood or the circumstances. Make worshiping God your habit and always thank Him.
Prayer: God, I love you so much! Thank you for your presence in my life. For your daily love, care, and every moment spent with you! I praise you, Jesus, and I give you glory! I adore you, Jesus! You are the best! Amen.
Challenge: As we have mentioned before, worship is usually associated with music. However, it is so much more than playing and singing. Worship is our actions, words, attitudes, generosity, and sacrifice. How do you think you could worship God today? How will you give Him praise? Maybe it's time to do something you've never done? Maybe it's time to sacrifice something?
