21 Days To A Teenager’s Spiritual ChangeSample
Discover What You Live For
You have just reached day 15 of the plan. You are really amazing! Only one more week and you can celebrate!
Many people look for the answer to the basic question, “What makes God choose people He chooses?” Some people even try to find algorithms that could be the basis for God choosing people for certain vocations. Some believe that the deeds make the difference; others have even more crazy ideas. As far as I am concerned, I believe that God in His love gives a chance to all people, not excluding anyone, but calling everyone. God wants you to seek, discover, develop, and use your gifts.
You happened to be on this Earth to have impact and to leave your print. You weren't created to just use the resources, to eat, to breathe, and occupy space on this planet. God has designed you in a way that your life could change something and influence other beings. You were created to serve God. God tells you the very same thing he told Jeremiah: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” You have a particular mission to complete right where you are, on this Earth!
God redeemed you, so you could do His work. You are not saved by your ministry, but you are saved for your ministry. God doesn't want you to serve him out of guilt, fear, or duty, but out of joy and being thankful for what He has done for us; we owe Him our lives. Thanks to salvation, our past has been forgiven, our present has a meaning, and our future is taken care of. It's because of Him that we came from death to life.
We are saved to serve. God has a ministry in the church and a mission in the world for each one of us. When you serve, you know what the point of Christianity is.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for seeing me worthy to serve you and people. Help me to serve well in the ministry you have called me to. Thank you for your calling upon my life. Develop it. Amen.
Challenge: Do you know what you've been called to? Do you know in which area you are needed the most? Talk about it with your leader. Tell him or her that you want to serve and you will do anything that has to be done. Start serving and be faithful in it! God needs you!
