Beast ModeSample
Day 2 – Performance
Some of us may say we want or don’t mind attention, but in reality, what we really want is to simply blend in. I mean, I want the latest iPhone because . . . well, that’s what everyone else has. And an Apple Watch? Absolutely. And of course, I need <insert favorite sports player>’s jersey. All good things, right? But what about things that make us stick out in a negative way?
I mean, who wants a zit on their nose so they can be called Rudolph? Do you really want to have to take your shoes off because you know that smell is not the way to make friends? Or, maybe you’ve been the new kid in a school, but instead of people talking to you . . . they just keep making fun of you because of the way you talk.
Saul didn’t care about any of this. Acts 9:20 says that “At once he began to preach.” When you go “Beast Mode”, it is “at once”. I envision Saul jumping out of his chair and telling the disciples, “I’ve got to get to work!” Saul was going to act regardless of what others thought.
We see evidence of this later on in Acts. Verses 23 and 24 show us that people wanted to kill Saul for what he was saying, but that didn’t deter him. He knew the call that had been placed upon his life and that he wasn’t going to let others stop him from doing what he knew was right.
That’s what going “Beast Mode” is all about. It’s (reversed) not about paying attention to others. It is about only paying attention to God.
Prayer: Dear God, Let my heart fill up with an overwhelming desire to tell others about You. Help me to keep my eyes focused on You, and not discouragement from others. Amen.

About this Plan
This plan is geared for students, and it is all about life of the Apostle Paul. He lived ‘Beast Mode’ every day. He was relentless in bringing the Gospel to all people; no matter the opposition... or the consequences. It’s a challenge to us as Christians to be bold in proclaiming the name of Jesus.
