Brave during trials
“This is an opportunity for great joy. This is an opportunity for great joy. This is an opportunity for great joy.” Repeat as necessary.
I have been accused of wearing rose-colored glasses. Mocked for seeing the glass as always half-full. But the Bible tells me - and you - right here in James that when “troubles of any kind” come our way to consider it an opportunity for great joy. James is practically handing us a pair of rose-colored glasses and a half-full glass and saying this is how you grow your faith.
With growth often comes pain, but because we know what’s on the other side of that pain - a fully developed endurance, perfect and complete - it’s easier for us to face trials. Trials are necessary for our spiritual growth. God uses our trials to achieve His purposes for our good and His glory. We can be brave during trials because we see them as opportunities for great joy.
Dear Lord, teach me to trust You in the midst of trials as my faith and endurance grow. Father, thank You for the strength to consider troubles opportunities for great joy, and for the courage to be brave during trials. Amen.

About this Plan
There isn’t a woman on this earth who doesn’t struggle with fear, doubt, and uncertainty. Yet, through His Word, God lovingly reminds us over and over again not to live our lives in fear. Instead, He commands us to be strong and courageous…maybe even fearless. Why? Because He is with us. Joshua 1:9
