DAY 3 OF 5

Individuals may have loved Jesus, but the world, or all those set against God and His purposes, hated Jesus. If you belong to Jesus, the world is going to hate you, too. When this happens, take it as a compliment. It means you are glorifying God like Jesus did.

To sanctify means “to set apart as sacred” or “to purify or free from sin.” Don’t be afraid of sanctification. It’s what God uses to draw the attention of others to Himself through you. If you let yourself look and act like everyone else, God won’t be able to accomplish anything in and through you. Desire sanctification, and do your part to achieve it. When God makes you aware of the sin in your life, confess it and move past it.

The word “sent” in today’s passage means more than “told to go.” It means something closer to “physically pushed,” like an actor or actress that is physically pushed on stage and expected to perform.

If you have a personal relationship with Christ, then you have been “sent.” You are not to spend your life in a holding pattern, mustering up the courage to eventually do something that you have been told to do. You have been pushed. This is your moment on stage, and God expects you to do something with it with His help.

Thank God for the privilege of proving His character and power through your obedience.

About this Plan

Sent: Eavesdropping On Jesus

You’ve heard people talk about God and Jesus, but what if you had the chance to hear Jesus talk to God about you? Would you take it? What if you knew what you heard would be good? In this study, you’ll get the chance to eavesdrop on Jesus and discover just how much He loves you. It’s an opportunity you don’t want to miss!
