It’s your birthday. You’ve been planning this day for weeks, maybe even months, and you’re excited. You’ll look extra special today; you have the perfect outfit and just the right amount of swag.

Decorations are up, the food’s ready and the doorbell goes. The guest flood in and your excitement is reflected in the friends & family that walk through the door as they hug you and lavish you with words that make your head swell.

Everyone’s here, or so you thought. As you signal to your best friend to bring the cake the doorbell goes, you look out the window. It’s the best limousine you’ve ever seen stretched outside. You look through the peephole but don’t recognise that ever so stunning and gorgeous Person standing at the door.

You open the door and immediately He enters. You are overcome by an overwhelming sense of peace; you feel safe and secure. You exhale, yet as you do, He begins rejoicing over you. At first you’re surprised, but soon warm up to it.

He wraps His arms of love around you and tells you that He loves you and at that instance, you feel the sincerity of those words piercing your heart. His presence, His love is overwhelming. You can’t hold back the tears. This Man, this stranger, suddenly doesn’t feel so strange. In fact, you feel like you’ve known Him all your life. You want to stay close to Him in His warm embrace.

Suddenly you remember it’s your birthday—the guests! You look around and they’re all gone. At that precise moment you realise that your home has transformed into the most beautiful dwelling—the lights, the sound, the smell, the ambience— altogether lovely.

You inhale deeply. If only that moment could last forever. Then He starts singing—singing over you and rejoicing because of you. His voice is enthralling, the perfect melody. The message He sings is one of love; that this can last forever if you want it to. Oh my!
