30/30 Challenge Reading PlanSample
These verses in Proverbs clearly tell us that God’s Word gives us life and health. And in Deuteronomy 30:19, God says, “…I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live.” As we study the Bible, we experience life in God and we “do life” with Him because we’re following His ways.
Every choice you make is a seed you sow, and those seeds produce fruit in your life—either for life or death. If we want to have the life Jesus died to give us—an abundant life full of peace and joy—then we need to make wise choices.
None of us are perfect, and we’ve all made foolish choices. The good news is, if you’re not happy with the way things are right now, you can change. The first step is to take responsibility for the wrong choices you’ve made. It’s important to be honest with yourself because Jesus says that the Truth will set us free (John 8:32), and that includes the truth about ourselves.
The next step is to make a determined decision to allow God to change you through His Word because none of us can do it on our own. We need the inherent power in God’s Word to transform us into the image of Christ. That’s how we choose life!
Walk It Out
Study the Bible and look up scriptures in the areas where you are struggling (i.e. anger, unforgiveness, self-control…). Pray and ask God to guide you and give you the strength to make wise choices.
If your progress seems slow, don’t get discouraged and never give up. Because when you stay determined to make wise choices based on what the Bible says, things will eventually start to change…and you will begin to experience the great life God has for you.

Are you studying the Bible or just casually reading it? God doesn’t want us to just skim His Word—He wants us to meditate on it and to allow it to change us from the inside out. That’s why Joyce Meyer issued the challenge to study God’s Word for 30 minutes a day for 30 days. This 30-day reading plan consists of encouragement from Joyce that will help you develop the habit of daily scripture reading.
