Day Three: Receive!

I think of the metaphor of gifts under a Christmas tree when I consider what it means to receive. An item can belong to me, but until I take possession of the item, I don't enjoy its benefits. 

Imagine you need dishes for your home, and your family knows  you have this need. So, your family buys a box of dishes, gift wraps and puts your name on the gift,  places the gift under the Christmas tree, and eagerly awaits your reactions. But if you leave your gift unopened under the tree, your need persists. Why? Because you refused to receive. 

Similarly, God has given us His Word to receive and apply to our lives. Being Love and the Giver of all good things, His will is for His children to be more than conquerors in all dimensions of life. His Word is the answer to our struggles. His love, power, peace, and provision are readily available to any who would receive His Word.  

To receive is to take. Faith That Delivers is faith that comes from hearing God's Word and taking God's Word as the Truth that overcomes your need. As a believer, your name is on every one of God's promises. Take God's promises for your use! 

God and His Word are one. Please receive Him! Please receive His gifts for you! Receive!
