LEADER OR SUPPORTER?
It takes a special kind of leader to do the right thing in the face of intense public pressure. Aaron was an effective public speaker, but without Moses' guidance, he yielded to the crowd's demand to make a golden idol to worship.
Many times we want our kids to have the recognition that comes with positions of leadership. But before you push your children into pursuing these positions, remember that effective leaders must be able to speak truth even when it's unpopular with the crowd. That requires a unique gift that not every person has been given (1 Cor 12:7-26).
While good leaders are important, so are good, humble supporters. When Aaron followed his gifting, he was invaluable to Moses and God, but when he acted outside his authority he and the people were seriously harmed.
Encourage your children to discover and use the gifts God has given them, whatever they may be.

About this Plan
The purpose of this devotional is to see what God's Word has to say about the parenting challenges every parent faces. Each day includes a passage of Scripture and an application of that passage to the trials and triumphs of leading families to maturity in Christ. The devotionals are created by Parenting by Design, a Fort Worth ministry devoted to teaching parents to lead their children the way God lead His children.
