God Is in the Multiplication BusinessSample
When You Feel Loss
There are times in all our lives when we face lack, times when we feel as though we have lost something—like something has been stolen from us, or we are on the decrease side of life.
Sometimes you did lose something. When I was 37 years old my first husband died very suddenly, and I felt the loss deeply—it was real. But I learned that the loss wasn’t the end of the story. Even if it seems as if your life is decreasing and things are being taken away, don’t be fooled. God is and always will be a God of increase.
I want you to know that no matter what is happening in your life right now, God is still in the multiplication business. He is working on an answer for you right now. God knows exactly how to get you from the land of loss to the land of increase if you’ll keep believing Him.
God has provided increase for me and my sons, and He can do it for you too. He is faithful!
The Bible says, “The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children” (Psalm 115:14, KJV). Read that again! This promise is true for you and your family.
Another passage says, “Now he that ministers seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness” (2 Cor. 9:10, KJV).
Notice all of the great words in those verses: increase, more, and multiply. These passages reveal the very nature of your heavenly Father. And as you can see from the scriptures quoted above, He is the same in the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. He doesn’t do subtraction, only multiplication.
You can believe it! Spend less time thinking about what you’ve lost, and focus on what you have and what He is going to bring into your life. God is working all things together for your good (Rom. 8:28). He knows exactly how to work everything out for you.
