Think about the last time you maybe called someone out for the way they were treating you. When was the last time you spoke up about something someone did that made you mad? Maybe your sibling borrowed something without your permission or a friend didn’t invite you to a party they were throwing. In those moments, it might be easy to speak harshly to those who have offended you, but it’s much harder to speak the truth in love. People can tell if you’re speaking with love by the tone of your voice or the words you choose. The more you practice telling others how you feel in a kind way, the more you will grow into who God is shaping you to be. This week, pray about how you speak to others when you are hurt. Ask God to help you do so in a loving way.
