Do you sometimes find yourself doing good things in order to get recognized for it? Do you hope others see the good deeds you’re doing? It’s easy to be kind or help someone when we know the praise is going to come right back to us. But as a follower of Jesus, we are encouraged to do good deeds for others, not so that the attention will be given to us, but so that the praise will be given to God. We are meant to draw others to God through the good that we do. Think about ways you can give God the credit for good He does in and through you this week.
