When was the last time you did something for someone else even though you got nothing in return? If we’re honest, it can be hard to serve others without receiving an award or acknowledgment for our efforts. In this verse, Paul even acknowledges there is a tendency to grow tired of serving others and doing what is right. But we also learn that there actually is a reward for serving others when we don’t give up—a reward that is the blessing of God. And it comes at just the right time. Write this verse somewhere you will see it so you remember there will always be a blessing for continuing to do what you know is right.
