The Heartbeat of GodSample
PEACE
John 14:27
O God, You are Peace. I daily need You to live within my soul. Again and again, You calm my wrestling heart. Through the nail-pierced hand of Christ, You give me serenity! Dear Jesus, when my heart once more begins to be troubled or afraid, help me remember and then respond to Your beautiful invitation of, "Come to Me, all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest." Help me, to daily take my worries off of my own shoulders and choose to obey Your voice, "Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls." O God, I want to learn from You; I love Your gentle words, and I long for Your humble ways! Here, again are my anxious thoughts. Help me now to choose to pray about everything with thanksgiving, so that I may gain Your peace that passes all understanding! I love You, O God of Peace. Always come, and compose and quiet my soul. Make me become like a weaned child who rests against his mother. Yes, make my soul like a weaned child within me.

About this Plan
A treasure principal of faith lies within this 30 day devotional, "The Heartbeat of God." Each day begins with a declaration of praise using these words, "O God, You are...". Then, an unfolding of His character and attributes begins (for example: "O God, You are Good"). These scripture-filled devotional prayers guide the reader into a practice of lifting up God's Name, which results in a deeper understanding of His intentional "heartbeat" of love for His people.
