LIVING WATER

Isaiah 55:1

O God, You are the Living Water! My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water to be found. There is nothing on this earth that satisfies the deep longings of my heart; You created me to crave You! Heavenly Father, I praise You! You promise to answer the afflicted and needy Yourself, saying, "I will open rivers on bare heights, and springs in the midst of valleys, I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land fountains of water." O God, my soul is satisfied because of Your Son, Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life. Through Him, I can delight myself in abundance! Help me to daily respond to Your invitation of "Come." Help me to daily listen carefully to You that I may truly live. Thank You, Jesus, for the promise in Your words of truth, "Whoever drinks of the water I shall give him... shall become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life." Jesus, each day hear my desperate heart's cry, "Give me this water!" Come again, today, this day, fill me completely; fill me abundantly.
