Life in the Kingdom

DAY 25 OF 45

Kindness That Leads To Repentance

The ultimate act of God’s kindness was Jesus dying for us while we were His enemies. Theologian William Barclay once said, “More people have been brought into the church by the kindness of real Christian love than by all the theological arguments in the world.” In fact, Kingdom kindness has a way in opening people’s heart.

4 But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. (Titus 3:4-5)

Kingdom kindness makes the gospel more attractive and effective. It has a purpose, and that is to bring glory to God and people into His Kingdom. It opens the door to the fullness of heaven.

4 Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no-one will malign the word of God. (Titus 2:4)

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help my true acts of kindness make Your word attractive so that people will repent and return to Your Kingdom. Help me be sensitive to the people around me that I may show them Kingdom kindness, through which Your kindness and Your glory will be revealed. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen!
