Life in the Kingdom

DAY 27 OF 45

All Good

When you think of goodness, what comes to mind? Do you think of the actions? Or the person? One of our problems with goodness is the same problem we have with love. The word "good" is used in so many ways and in so many occasions, just as we use the word "love."

In Genesis, after each creation, God looked at it and said, "It is good." He also said, “It is not good for man to be alone.” What does that mean? When God looked at what He had done, He was pleased with it. So goodness means something that pleases God.

Also one day, when God looked at what we had done, He will be pleased with it, Well done, good and faithful servant. (Matt. 25:23)

Therefore, a good person is a person who is pleasing to God. It is the same when someone is pleasing to you. Will you be the person that is pleasing to God? Will you be the person that is pleasing to people around you?

Prayer: Thank You Father that You are good, that everything that is good is from You. I thank You that You give good things to those who ask You. Today I ask for your goodness to be in me and to overflow from me to others, that I may lead a good life that is pleasing to You and glorifies Your name. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen!
