Preparing For The King - Disciple Makers Series #20Sample
The King cleans His own house
Thoughts on the message
Jesus cleans His own house.
It is sad that the King had to come and clean His own house on the day that He declares Himself to be King. We are the temple of God – as a church and as individuals. What does our house look like? In the Church there are people trying to advance themselves and their perspectives – not much different than what we see here. Too many of God’s people have their personal lives focused on this world and what we can get - again not much difference. Take some time today and walk through your house and life. Let God expose what needs cleaning so that the King comes and is welcome.
Today is my grandson’s birthday – he is a lively, active boy! When little boys shout their praises to God, it is a wonderful, lively, noisy time. God loves it! He would love to see His house filled with this kind of joy, laughter, fun and worship. Do not be afraid to release it in your house today either.
Prayer
Father, I take time today to do a walk-through inspection of my life. Show me where I am focused on doing things for my benefit and advancement. Show me where my life needs a cleaning up – and help me to do it. Also, it is my grandson’s birthday. Bless him abundantly. Give him a voice to release Your praise that blesses Your name and blesses his home (and give his mom and dad a heart to enjoy it!).
