Prayers And Promises For Financial BreakthroughSample
Reaping the hundredfold Blessing
During a time of famine, Isaac sowed in the land when God directed him, rather than fleeing elsewhere. God rewarded him by giving him a hundredfold return on the seed he’d planted. Isaac was blessed to such a degree that his idol-worshipping neighbors asked him to move away because he had become too wealthy and powerful among them.
Prior to this event, God appeared to Isaac and reminded him of the covenant He had made with Abraham. God assured Isaac that He would keep His promise to Abraham for all generations. Isaac went where God sent Him, did what God told him to do, and reaped a hundredfold blessing.
One definition of favor is “being at the right place, at the right time.” Isaac’s faith and obedience to God’s Word in a time of famine allowed God to use him as an object lesson to his neighbors while blessing him materially. What an object lesson for modern believers! He was in covenant with God, listened to God’s voice, obeyed what God told him to do, and was blessed beyond his wildest imaginings—even in the presence of those who worshipped idols.
This is the calling of all believers! Isaac’s testimony can become yours.
Father, glorify yourself in my life. Make me an Isaac to my generation as he was to his. Strengthen my faith to trust you, obey you, look to you, and reap a hundredfold because you blessed me. Amen.
