A STRANGE PLACE FOR A BABY

How many days until Christmas Day? Take a few minutes each day, between now and then, to discover what happened on the very first Christmas!

Long, long ago God promised to send a baby who would grow up to be a very special man. He would be God’s own Son! Long ago, too, God planned where that special baby was to be born.

Bethlehem! 

Where else have you heard of that place? Remember Mary and Joseph? Their journey is over. They have climbed the hill into the little town. They are so tired! Many other people have got there before them. Every spare bed is taken. The only space is in the part of a house where the animals were kept at night. Mary and Joseph were glad to find even that!

And that’s where Jesus, the very special baby, was born. Just as God had planned.

Pray. “Dear God, you were in charge and made all the plans for Jesus’ birth. Wow!”
