Full RecoveryExemplo
Recovery Day 7
Isa. 40:29-31 “God energizes those who get tired, and gives fresh strength to dropouts... Those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, they run and don't get tired, they walk and don't lag behind.” (MSG). God is the real energizer not a battery; and He is offering you fresh strength. How amazing is that? The key to not lagging behind spiritually, socially, emotionally, and intellectually, is waiting on Jesus. The first thing you need to do when you are mentally and psychologically stressed is to get alone with God. I encourage everyone experiencing mental stress to cry out for help. However, first get alone with God. As they say, “you go to the throne before you go to the phone”.
Sadly, a lot of people do not know how to be alone with God. A lot of people cannot even handle being alone when they are stressed because of the rush of emotions. The solution is simple; do not get alone with the anger, the resentment, or the worries. Get alone with God. Some times when people get alone to pray and to talk to God, they end up in tears because they are worrying. And things just get worse emotionally because they did everything but get alone with God. If you do not know how to be alone with God, the good news to you today is you can learn how. And the Holy Spirit is a great teacher.
“…Those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, they run and don't get tired, they walk and don't lag behind.” The challenge is people do not like waiting for anything or they attempt to wait in a hurry. You cannot do both; you are either waiting or you are in a hurry but you cannot do both.
Thought: How often do you get alone with God, just you and God alone?
Prayer [song] In Christ alone my hope is found, He is my light, my strength, my song’ this Cornerstone, this solid ground, firm through the fiercest drought and storm. What heights of love, what depths of peace, when fears are stilled, when strivings cease! My Comforter, my All in All, here in the love of Christ I stand.
