Man of God: What Does a Man of God Look Like?Exemplo
Men Whose Lives Command Respect
A man of God is a man with a heart like King David. Of him, God said: I have found David son of Jesse a man after My own heart; he will carry out My will in its entirety (Acts 13:22).
Men of God see the needs of people, pray for the sick, and care for the poor to the extent that it is within their power (James 1:27).
They are disciplined, not afraid of hard times, and persistently walk in the ways God shows them (Psalm 23:4).
Men of God are not primarily attuned to convenience. They are willing to suffer and sacrifice, not seek their own benefit, and not live for personal gain.
These are men who are not addicted to food, do not overeat, and control their cravings and desires.
Men of God have a teachable spirit and are open to correction and the building up of their faith. They are willing to listen to men and women who can integrate wisdom and insight into their lives (Proverbs 19:20).
They are not arrogant.
They do not look down on people considered weak, “small,” and poor. They know that mocking a poor person and treating people inferiorly offends the person's Maker (Proverbs 17:5).
Men of God do not curse (Ephesians 4:29; Colossians 3:8).
Men of God don't tell dirty jokes.
They follow the Lord in simplicity and obedience, even though people may be offended. Even when they are despised and rejected, their only desire is to please God.
These are men for whom the glory of God, His will, and His kingdom have priority over personal need or comfort.
Men of God are meek and longsuffering — filled with kindness and tenderness.
Men of God trust Him to provide for their needs - their families and God's work. They work hard, handle their money wisely, and are good stewards of what has been entrusted to them.
There are not many Godly men. The price is high—too often too high. May God, in His mercy, help us grow as men of God and into greater Christlikeness.
Sobre este plano
We need men of God today. They must be men with God's character, sanctified, broken, humble, and serving their families, churches, and communities with integrity, purity, righteousness, and dignity. Such men will be like salt, bringing hope to the world and the people around them.
