Man of God: What Does a Man of God Look Like?Exemplo
A Man of God Lives According to the Truth and Commands of the Word (2)
We need men like Daniel, who was called “a man highly esteemed, a man who was treasured, a man highly precious, a man greatly loved” (Daniel 10:11 – various translations).
These are men who, if necessary, will stand alone in the world and not compromise - just as the apostles, prophets, and the men of God through the ages have sometimes had to stand alone.
Men of God do not seek great things for themselves but desire to be available so that God can do His works through them for His glory alone.
Men of God live in the reality of God's sovereignty and provision. They know that everything that happens to them is under the protective hand of God - that everything that happens works for the good of those whom God loves (Romans 8:28).
These men find their joy in the Lord and rejoice in Him, seeking His glory and being full of the joy of the Lord.
Men of God live in faith, not relying on their own abilities but putting their trust in the Lord. They live in God's power and follow Him, no matter the circumstances.
They are generous and tithe joyfully—they give sacrificially to alleviate the needs of men and build the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9–11). A man of God is not stingy.
They live holy amid a society given to wickedness and rebellion against God. They live uncompromisingly in a society that has become enslaved to pleasures, selfish living, and idolatry.
Men of God see life and circumstances from a heavenly perspective and with eternity in mind. They do not allow themselves to be influenced by the world's value systems.
Men of God distinguish between what is born of the Spirit and what is born of the flesh. They strive to correctly understand the Word of God under the guidance of the Spirit and live in spirit and truth.
Men of God stand before His throne as priests of God and pray without ceasing (Revelation 1:6; 1 Peter 2:9). They remind God of His promises and know that their only access to the throne of God is the name and merit of Jesus Christ.
Their personal needs are less important to them than those of a broken and lost world.
Sobre este plano
We need men of God today. They must be men with God's character, sanctified, broken, humble, and serving their families, churches, and communities with integrity, purity, righteousness, and dignity. Such men will be like salt, bringing hope to the world and the people around them.
