The Morning HuntExemplo
The Morning Hunt - Day Five – Do the Roar!
The roar of a lion can be heard as far as five miles away. A lion may roar to impress a lioness or even communicate with other Pride members. This same roar is often used to declare its territory to possible invaders. The distance the roar can travel can be a great preventative measure against unforeseen danger.
What does a roar look like for us? The Christian man’s roar is his fellowship with his community (see day four), worship, lifestyle, and prayers. Constant communication with our community roars to those outside. Jesus said the world would identify us as His disciples because of our love for one another. Are you a single lion? Your lifestyle will speak volumes to a like-minded woman. Our worship and prayers travel far distances and declare before God and the enemy where we stand and what we are claiming.
Remember that your enemy also has a roar. He is using the roar of fear to paralyze you. If he cannot paralyze you, he wants you to run far away from God. This walk requires boldness, the boldness of a lion. The enemy might roar like a lion, but he is not the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. We have been given the authority to speak the Word of God to our situations. If Satan roars, we must roar back! Roar our praise, roar our worship, roar the Written Word of God, roar the Name of Jesus. Roar today over your families, careers, ministries, goals, and the lost souls for which you believe.
Proverbs 28:1 ESV - The wicked flee when no one pursues,
but the righteous are bold as a lion.
1 Peter 5:8 NLT - Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
Matthew 4:1-11 NLT - Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil. 2 For forty days and forty nights he fasted and became very hungry. 3 During that time the devil[a] came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread.” 4 But Jesus told him,
“No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[b]”
5 Then the devil took him to the holy city, Jerusalem, to the highest point of the Temple, 6 and said, “If you are the Son of God, jump off! For the Scriptures say,
‘He will order his angels to protect you. And they will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.’[c]”
7 Jesus responded, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the Lord your God.’[d]”
8 Next the devil took him to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 “I will give it all to you,” he said, “if you will kneel down and worship me.” 10 “Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say,
‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’[e]”
11 Then the devil went away, and angels came and took care of Jesus.
Psalm 8:2 CEV - With praises from children and from tiny infants, you have built a fortress. It makes your enemies silent, and all who turn against you are left speechless.

The King of the Jungle. The symbol of Jesus and Kingdoms throughout history. The lion is one of the most majestic and awe-inspiring animals on the planet. Just as the lion is unique and designed to reign, so is God’s design for Manhood. The Morning Hunt is a 14-day Men’s Devotional that looks to teach valuable and practical lessons from a lion’s perspective.
