Sweetly LovedPrzykład
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
These words are uttered so frequently that seldom do we stop to think about the power that they hold, or rather, the power that lies behind them.
The only reason that we are capable of loving others, including God, is because He first loved us.
1 John 4:19 tells us, “We love because He first loved us.”
When we think about it from that perspective, then we better understand that because He first loved us, we are compelled to love Him back. When we feel God’s love for us throughout the day — perhaps while watching the sunrise/sunset or experiencing an unexpected blessing that comes our way — the appropriate response is to simply say, “I love You too.”
But we can’t stop there. God gives us His unconditional love so that we can love others as He does. It may be that one of your coworkers doesn’t know God. Love them as Christ has loved you. Perhaps one of your family members is being particularly difficult. Love them as Christ has loved you. When we love like this, then others can’t help but be attracted to a God who is love.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, the next time you get ready to let those 3 little words slip off your tongue, remember who loved you first and respond with “I love You too.”
