99.9% the Same  

When you find yourself in a crowded room, you may feel like you have nothing in common with the person to the left or right of you. What you may not realize is that you’re more alike than you could ever imagine. 

God has created us all 99.9% genetically identical. That’s right - 99.9%! Only minor cosmetic differences make us unique: our hair color, skin color, and eye color, for example. But for some reason, it’s those small differences that seem to create an enormous divide; most of all, our skin color. 

The image of God lives in us all, and we do a disservice to God when we believe that someone else is inferior or superior to us, based on how we look. Instead, we should ask God to help us recognize His image in everyone else and ourselves - especially since we are all 99.9% genetically identical, and more importantly, 100% spiritually identical! 

I encourage you to speak with someone who looks different than you, and ask them what their dreams, hopes, and plans are for their lives. Since you now know that you’re spiritually and genetically identical, you may be surprised to you’re identical in many other ways as well!

What beliefs should you ask God to change in your heart about your “brother” or “sister” of a different race?
