True North: Redemption

DAY 6 OF 7

After receiving a wound in life, our spiritual enemy is very quick to capitalize on the opportunity. He will begin to feed you lies shortly after being hurt: “you’re on your own, no one will ever really love you, people and/or relationships are disposable, you married the wrong person, you will never be a good father, you will end up exactly like your father, you’re a failure, God doesn’t really care about you, God will never forgive you for what you’ve done, etc.” Regardless of what the lie is….IT’S STILL A LIE!

If we accept or agree with the lie(s), then we just gave the devil a foothold or maybe even his own room in our hearts. These lies will absolutely hinder our redemption because we never fully accept the truth of Christ if we are believing the lies of the devil.

Take some time and ask God to search your heart and show you any of these lies that you have accepted. Then confess the lie, ask God to forgive you for believing/accepting the lie, and renounce it.

“I reject the lie of ______________ and I am believing the truth of God which is __________________________.” True and lasting redemption begins with rejecting these lies over your life.

About this Plan

True North: Redemption

Even with the amazing gift of redemption, all of us still sin even after accepting Jesus. God’s love, grace, and mercy for us don’t end at salvation. It’s just the beginning. No matter what you’ve done, no matter how far you’ve fallen, God is still waiting and wanting to redeem you back to Himself.
