Speak Life and Encourage One Another!

Today, I want to remind you of the incredible power our words hold. We must make our words count! You cannot truly own your day until you own your words. The twenty-six letters of our alphabet have the potential to shape our world. We all understand the impact of words—how they can inspire, uplift, and ignite a passion within us to shine brightly. Yet, we also know that words can discourage, demoralize, and tear down.

Proverbs 18:21 teaches us, "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." This reminds us that our words can either build up or break down. Therefore, we must be intentional in our speech.

In our fast-paced lives, we often communicate through emails and texts more than through our voices. When we do speak, let us ensure we are using our words to speak life! We need to cultivate habits that allow us to affirm and recognize the goodness in our colleagues. As the body of Christ, it is our calling to uplift, encourage, and guide one another.

Our words, when empowered by the Holy Spirit, can prophetically change lives and situations. When we are willing and present, God will use our voices to bless others. We may never fully know the impact our words have, but if we intentionally create opportunities to speak life, we can affirm the unique God-given purpose in those around us.

Just as the encouraging words of others have helped you grow into the leader you are today, you have the capacity to do the same for someone else. You know how powerful it feels when someone recognizes the goodness within you—the goodness you sometimes doubt you possess. Their affirmation can spark a belief that encourages you to step into your true potential.

Remember, people often become what the most important voices in their lives say they can become. Our words reflect our thoughts and attitudes, revealing the strength of our faith. When we fail to speak life, we risk exposing the cracks in our inner foundation.

Let us align our words with what God says about us. If we label ourselves contrary to His truth, we may find our faith foundation weakening under the weight of struggles. Instead, let us choose to speak life, hope, and purpose. Together, we can create an environment where everyone thrives.
